Kheer. Boxed meals, side dishes and more. Kheer is the original rice pudding, which became part of western cuisine through the British. I like this, but my husband and son didn't (too 'spicy' for them).

Kheer Chawal ki kheer or rice kheer is a traditional rice pudding made for most occasions in Indian homes. Kheer and payasam are the terms used interchangeably and both are derived from the sanskrit terms "ksheer" & "payasa" both meaning milk.. Rice kheer is made with full fat milk. You can have Kheer using 5 ingredients and 4 steps. Here is how you cook that.

Ingredients of Kheer

  1. You need 100 gms of rice.
  2. You need 150 gms of sugar.
  3. You need 1 ltr of milk.
  4. It's As needed of dry fruits.
  5. You need As needed of ghee.

Kheer, Payasa, Payasam or Phirni is a type of pudding from the Indian subcontinent, made by boiling milk, sugar, and rice, although rice may be substitute with one of the following: bulgar wheat, millet, tapioca, vermicelli, or sweet corn. Kheer instructions

  1. Boil the milk till it get 3/4th of the volume and previously soaked rice in it and boiled it..
  2. Add sugar when rice is half cooked then add dry fruits and ghee..
  3. When rice is completely cooked and milk gets a creamy texture then put the pan aside..
  4. Serve it cool..
